Giants recalled OF Bryce Johnson from Triple-A Sacramento.
He's actually starting in center field and batting ninth Thursday against the Padres. The 27-year-old possesses good speed, but has batted just .175 (7-for-40) with one homer and one stolen base across 25 games with the Giants this season. He's unlikely to be fantasy relevant.
Giants optioned RHP Sean Hjelle to Triple-A Sacramento.
He'll head back down with outfielder Bryce Johnson joining the team. Hjelle holds a rough 7.79 ERA in 11 appearances with the Giants this season.
White Sox activated RHP Lance Lynn from the bereavement list.

Ha-Seong Kim will bat leadoff Thursday against the Giants.
He'll start at shortstop with Xander Bogaerts sitting. It's a new look at the top for the Padres as they try to avoid a four-game sweep by their division rival. Kim is hitting .435 (10-for-23) over his last seven games, so the hope is that he'll provide a spark.
Xander Bogaerts is not in Thursday's lineup against the Giants.
He'll get a breather for the series finale. Ha-Seong Kim will make the start at shortstop and bat leadoff against southpaw Alex Wood.
Red Sox acquired RHP Tayler Scott from the Dodgers for cash considerations.
Scott was designated for assignment earlier this week. The 31-year-old has struggled in his previous chances in the majors and mostly represents depth for his new team.

McGuire suffered the injury on Wednesday night and could end up missing a few weeks. Caleb Hamilton has been called up to serve as Connor Wong's backup.

Hamilton gets the call with Reese McGuire headed to the injured list due to an oblique injury. The 28-year-old appeared in 22 games with the Twins last year and was slashing .180/.285/.310 through 30 games in Triple-A this year. He's not fantasy relevant.
Red Sox transferred INF Yu Chang to the 60-day injured list.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Chang has been out since late April after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured hamate bone. He's dealt with some lingering discomfort in his wrist, so his return isn't necessarily imminent.

Walter will make his major league debut in a start against the Twins on Thursday. The 26-year-old holds a 6.28 ERA and 64/26 K/BB ratio over 61 2/3 innings in Triple-A this year and doesn't come recommended in fantasy leagues.

Duvall sat on Wednesday, but he'll start in right field and bat fifth Thursday against right-hander Joe Ryan.
Seth Brown is not in Thursday's lineup against the Guardians.
Not a big surprise with left-hander Logan Allen on the hill for Cleveland. Brown is 0-for-26 with 11 strikeouts against left-handed pitching this season. Ouch. Shea Langeliers will serve as the DH on Thursday.
